Mat Elliott is an indie soul and alt-pop artist from Halifax, Nova Scotia. His understated vocals, guitar-led arrangements and warm grooves bring a personal, introspective voice to a sound that has drawn comparisons to Tom Misch, Men I Trust and Still Woozy.
His debut EP, South Endings (2024), earned Music Nova Scotia’s New Artist Recording of the Year in 2025, alongside East Coast Music Award nominations for Pop and R&B/Soul Release of the Year. His songs pair conversational lyrics with playful textures and an easy sense of melody.
Released in 2026, his debut full-length album Video Games expands that world with richer guitar work and layered production. The songs explore burnout, avoidance and modern overstimulation, making room for reflection inside music that feels warm and inviting.
